Resin bound is permeable by design, which means it meets SuDS drainage rules without a separate soakaway — useful on Guildford's newer estates where frontages are smaller and there is little room for drainage runs. Water passes straight through the surface into an open-graded base and away, so you do not get the puddling that plagues older tarmac and concrete drives.
